Sturgeon Industrial Park – drainage, Phase 3

Project Description

Sturgeon County is planning drainage upgrades in the Sturgeon Industrial Park area this summer.  A contractor hired by Sturgeon County will be making improvements to the ditches to enhance drainage and reduce flood risks.

Project scope

Ditch grade improvements will be made, and culverts will be replaced along Sturgeon Crescent. This work will address historical flooding concerns.

What this means to you

Intermittent one lane and full road closures may take place. Access to business will be maintained at all times.

    February 12, 2025

    Phase 3 of Sturgeon Industrial Park drainage improvement is scheduled for 2025. This work will fix the historical drainage issues along Sturgeon Road and the east side of the industrial park

  • July 19, 2024: This project is done
    July 19, 2024

    The project is done and is in warranty.

  • June 28, 2024: Topsoil and seeding
    June 28, 2024

    The culvert work is now done. The contractor is working on putting in topsoil and seeding.

  • June 5, 2024 - Construction start date
    June 5, 2024
    Construction will begin Friday, June 7, and is anticipated to last until July 5, depending on the weather.
    The contractor, TBL Construction Ltd., will contact each business before work starts on approaches. Access to your business will be maintained at all times although slight delays may occur.  Typical working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with long weekends off.

A fire advisory is in effect for Sturgeon County due to high temperatures and lack of precipitation.

Sturgeon County offices will be close Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21 for the Easter weekend. Offices will re-open for regular business hours on Tuesday, April 22 from 8:30AM - 4:30PM.
