Why is a survey being conducted?
Every year, Sturgeon County embarks on a public consultation before creating its municipal budget. Gathering input from residents through this survey will help the County’s Council better understand residents’ priorities and preferences, which will help inform future budget and strategic planning decisions.
Do I have to complete the survey?
All Sturgeon County households are invited to participate in this survey. While participation is voluntary, your input is highly valued. This is your chance to have a direct impact on the future of your community.
Who is eligible to complete the survey?
The survey is open to all residents of Sturgeon County who are 18 years of age or older. Please designate one adult in your household to complete the survey.
Will my responses be anonymous?
Sturgeon County has hired Advanis, a local market research company, to conduct this survey. All information collected as part of the budget survey will be aggregated and cannot be traced back to the respondent.
Your answers will remain anonymous and the information you provide will be handled in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act, the Access to Information Act, and any other relevant legislation.
What if I don’t receive a letter in the mail or can’t complete the survey online?
If you are a Sturgeon County resident and don’t receive an invitation letter by April 30, please contact budgetsurvey@sturgeoncounty.ca. Paper copies of the survey will be available at the County Centre front desk (9613 100 St, Morinville).
