Deadline Extended!! Agriculture Student Wanted for Agriculture Service Board
Deadline Extended to January 30!
Sturgeon County is looking for an Agriculture Student to participate on the Agricultural Service Board (ASB). As a voting member, the successful candidate along with the ASB, will act as an advisory body to council on agriculture-related matters with a goal to promote, enhance and protect the viability of the agricultural industry within Sturgeon County.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- be a Sturgeon County resident,
- be between 18 and 25 years of age, and
- be enrolled in Agriculture-related post-secondary studies at the time that they apply for the position.
The successful candidate will serve for a one year term and receive a student bursary equivalent to the amount they would receive serving as a Public Member; approximately $1000, depending on the number of meetings and events attended, and the distance(s) required to travel. The Agricultural Service Board meets approximately six times each year.
